Your Questions. Answered by Our Doctors.

Can I get pregnant with low AMH?
Yes, pregnancy is still possible with low AMH. AMH mainly reflects ovarian reserve and can help predict how the ovaries may respond to stimulation; it does not, by itself, determine egg quality or whether pregnancy can occur. Treatment depends on age, scan findings, sperm factors and overall fertility history.
What is the right age for IVF?
There is no single “right” age for IVF. Fertility generally declines with age, more noticeably after the mid-30s, so earlier evaluation can be helpful when conception is delayed. The best timing depends on ovarian reserve, diagnosis, previous treatment and individual goals.
IVF vs ICSI – what’s the difference?
In conventional IVF, eggs and sperm are placed together in the laboratory so fertilisation can occur naturally. In ICSI, an embryologist injects a single sperm directly into an egg. ICSI is commonly considered for male-factor infertility, very low sperm counts or certain previous fertilisation problems.
When should fibroids be removed?
Not every fibroid needs surgery. Removal may be considered when a fibroid distorts the uterine cavity, causes significant symptoms, is large or strategically located, or may be contributing to recurrent pregnancy loss or repeated fertility-treatment failure. An ultrasound or hysteroscopic assessment helps guide the decision.
Can endometriosis affect fertility?
Yes. Endometriosis can affect fertility through inflammation, scar tissue, changes around the ovaries or tubes, and sometimes reduced ovarian reserve. Many women with endometriosis still conceive naturally or with treatment, so management should be personalised according to age, symptoms and fertility goals.
